Hannah Is—or Is She? (Or, Domain Name Roulette)

I like the hannah.is domain name, but when it expires (in a couple of years), I’m going to let it go, and this blog will be at hannahs.blog. Makes more sense; it’s cheaper, and I can manage it through my favorite domain registrar rather than the Icelandic .is registrar, which is a little confusing to use (love you, though, Iceland, would love to visit one day).

hannahs.blog is the primary domain now, so when you click links here, they’ll go to hannahs.blog, rather than hannah.is. Don’t be scared. I’m here for you. But if you have this bookmarked, you may want to update that. Also, if you have this site bookmarked, hi. I started this for myself, like a personal diary to help me remember everything involved in transitioning. But the internet be interneting, and Google be Googling, so somehow some of you found me. It’s all good, and we’re all friends here, right?

Domain names, who needs ’em! I’ve always thought we’d go beyond them someday, technologically, but maybe not. Ayin and I have 47 domain names, which is about 40 too many, but what can you do? We have a lot of websites, and I’m sitting on some we don’t use for anything yet. At one point I had more than 200 domains, but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

So many things were a long time ago. But that’s what happens if you’re fortunate enough to live a long life. Here’s to living a long life! And hannahs.blog.
